Images from the year...Part 2

It's all about movement!

Again images I have taken throughout the year during study, learning the functions of my camera while trying to capture the movement in camera. Getting out and photographing different people doing crazy stunts. Love it!
The great thing about living in Taranaki is the range of outdoor activities, the involvement and the athleticism of the Taranaki people. THC!

Images from the Year...Part 1

Images that I have taken throughout the year as I am continuing to develop the art of action photography. It has been very challenging but very enjoyable. I have met and photographed some amazing people, and have made the most of the beautiful landscape, beaches & bike tracks of Taranaki and the mountains of Turoa and Wanaka. I hope I am able to continue to follow this path and showcase the wonders of human ability. Today these images highlight each photographic intention for the

My Exhibition continued......

Following are the images used in my exhibition and how they were exhibited on the night. Images were digitally printed on Matt on Acrylic Plexiglass with MDF backing. Based on a magazine layout each athlete had a small text profile. Images were then drilled and screwed onto the wall to create a 3D effect. I used a variety of photography techniques. I focused on using as much natural light as possible so these images have little or no photoshop. A TV was used on the night for my media piece which you can view in my previous blog.
BMX racer Hayley Gedye, NZ open surfing champ Thandi Tipene & Snowboarder Liz Say.

'Cap Logo'

My 'Cap' logo that I designed.

The free flow line element came about through the koru symbol in maori art. The symbol of creation, the idea of perpetual movement & the return to the point of origin.
The 'a' in 'Cap' is shaped to form a camera.
The face of 'Cap' represents my strength of character.

'Cap' is a symbol of steps through my photography, from the idea (emotion), to the process (movement), to the image (expression) to the viewer (point of origin).
