My day at the paper

Today I spent the afternoon with the Deputy Chief Photographer, Cameron Burnell, of our provincial paper, The Taranaki Daily News. Highlights of the day.... Being in a newsroom!, meeting the editorial team, seeing the library of archived film and negatives, learning tips about Photoshop.....TAKING THE FIRST FRAME OF A BRAND NEW CANON 500mm 2.8 PRIME LENS ($11,000 worth, Thank you Cameron). I found that it requires a whole new skill set to operate these type of lenses.

I also went on a road trip with Chief Photographer Andy Jackson and he gave me the amazing opportunity to shoot the accompanying photograph for a reporter's story, and hopefully have this published in this week's papers (Thank you Andy Jackson).

What a sweet day!
